I had an excellent experience with Dr. Amila Jayarathna. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and well cared for. Dr. Jayarathna took the time to explain every step of my Maternal grandmother eye examination and patiently answered all my questions. Their expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail gave me complete confidence in my Maternal grandmother treatment. My vision has improved significantly, and I’m truly grateful for the care I received. I highly recommend Dr. Amila Jayarathna to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate eye specialist!

A really kind hearted doctor

For my experience with Dr Amila is totally different. He is one of the most experienced eye surgeon in Kandy and because of that he is busy and having tight schedules all day. I visited him few times and most of the time he was there on time. Caring for the patient is exelent.

Dr.Amila Jayarathna is the best Dr I've seen. My grand father got blind by an injection some Dr from the hospital injected.His both eyes were blind.We went to various types of many doctors in kandy but everyone said they couldn't cure his eyes.but Dr.Amila Jayarathnae said he can and my grandfather is getting better.he is not money hungry.

This is a sarcastic comment. I too came to consult the same doctor same day. But the session was put at 7:30pm. He came on time and was very professional. He is one of the best eye surgeons in Srilanka and perhaps the best in kandy. He is a government eye surgeon and very impossible to put a meeting time before 4pm. His usual channelling time at asiri is 6:30pm always for the weekdays and his popularity could sometimes delay his presence as he is one of the most wanted eye surgeons across the central province. But as far as I know he is very humble to notice the channel authorities when ever he delays. At amila sir’s channeling he mentioned about a surgery list starting at 9pm that day. Above could be a cataract patient came to her to get her eyes operated. I don’t think it’s possible to get a surgery done within minutes and this one could have come at a wrong time mistakenly very early. As far as I know Dr amila Jayarathna is the best cataract eye surgeon with the best after surgery vision outcome.

Worst Experience Ever – Completely Unprofessional Dr. Amila Jayarathna is by far the worst eye doctor I have ever encountered. He shows zero care or respect for his patients’ time, money, or wellbeing. Patients are asked to report to Asiri Hospital at 2:30 PM, but he doesn’t even bother to arrive until around 9:30 PM. That means people—many of them elderly or in pain—are forced to wait for more than 10 hours in long queues, after already paying massive fees for treatment. This is not just a delay; it’s complete disregard for patients’ dignity. What’s happening between this doctor and Asiri Hospital feels like a shameless drama where patients are treated as nothing more than numbers. Absolutely unacceptable.
