I was disappointed with my experience with Dr. Hiran Amarasekara. Before performing PRP injections in both of my knees, I was not informed that I could experience significant pain and difficulty walking for the first few days after the procedure. If I had known, I would have arranged help at home and planned my schedule accordingly. While the procedure itself may have been appropriate, I believe patients should receive clear information about the expected recovery, possible side effects, activity restrictions, and aftercare before treatment so they can give fully informed consent. Better communication would have made this experience much less stressful.
