Dr. SANATH WANIGASOORIYA

I visited Dr. Sanath Wanigasooriya, Head of Radiology, for a routine scan on [date]. While Dr. Wanigasooriya is highly qualified and maintains a professional image on TV programs, my in-person experience was shockingly different. He was extremely rude and dismissive, interrupting me repeatedly without listening to my concerns or symptoms. This lack of empathy extended especially to cancer patients he consults, whom he treats with condescension and outright rudeness—never willing to hear them out or show respect to their accompanying family members or companions. He brushed off all questions in a belittling tone, making an already stressful medical visit intolerable for everyone involved. Despite his public persona and expertise, basic patient respect is glaringly absent in practice, particularly for vulnerable cancer patients and their loved ones. I strongly recommend the hospital address this behavior to uphold proper care standards. He made use of harsh words in sinhala and is so egoistic about his given authority as head of the cancer dept.
