We had a deeply traumatic experience with this doctor during my sister's C-section at Kandy Asiri Hospital. Soon after the delivery, my sister began suffering from severe stomach and back pain. With the doctor’s permission, she was later admitted to Peradeniya Hospital, where he is also affiliated. Unfortunately, the staff in his ward there appeared to overlook or cover up the complications she was facing. Despite her condition worsening each day, no clear diagnosis was made. The doctor’s behavior during this time was evasive and unprofessional. Weeks later, my sister had to undergo another surgery. Only then did other doctors discover that she had been bleeding internally — a complication caused by mistakes made during the original C-section. She had endured immense pain and unnecessary suffering due to this. We are sharing our experience to raise awareness, especially for mothers who are trusting their lives and their babies' lives to medical professionals. We urge hospitals and authorities to investigate such cases seriously and hold those responsible accountable.
